I do not know how many of you have heard about his book. I've found it on Instagram a few months ago, maybe one year ago. I read it in a week. To be honest, at times, it can be a boring book. There are so many details about our brain and about how it works, things that sometimes can be very hard to understand.
But, there are also interesting facts, like how everything is guided by our brain. You fear of spiders or anything else? You can make that fear disappear by thinking that you don't have any real reasons to fear of it. For example, they say that a pregnant woman craves for different food, right? Well, in fact, she doesn't. That craving is just an idea settled in her brain. And I know this for sure. I was like dying if I wouldn't eat chocolate one day. Every day I would eat at least 100gr of chocolate. My coffee would be sweetened with three spoons of sugar. Too much, right? Well, after I read this book, I realized that all that chocolate and sweets craving that I had, was only in my head. I didn't need it. So I start thinking that I do not need chocolate. I don't want chocolate. I don't need to have my coffee in the morning with three spoons of sugar. So, thinking this way, saying these things every time I felt the need to eat chocolate or cake or drinking a coffee, step with step, I was able to almost quit chocolate. Now I drink my coffee with just one spoon of sugar, and I eat chocolate only 10gr (top) on one week, instead of 100gr every day. Nice, right? And the most important thing of all is that I feel great. I have more energy and my skin is brighter.
I know that there are many negative reviews for this book because it tends to be boring, but I learned something out of it. And I was able to apply what I've learned. And that's why I really appreciate this book. Now, I need to tell to my brain that the food is not my boss, that I don't need to eat so much and everything will be just fine. If you have any tips on how to stop eating, or how to lose weight, or maybe how to eat anything you want but not getting fat, please let me know. Haha. No, seriously, help me here!! haha
