Review

Oh, God! This is such a good book and I can’t believe it took me so long to read it. To start it actually. I had this book for months and I just read it. I tend to forget about books I was really interested in, but I am happy I read it before the year ends. Why? Because it is really awesome.

The book describes Emily and her friends’ struggle to live after their plane crushed somewhere in the heart of Amazon. I must warn you, you’ll need a strong heart to read it. Jim Morris describes so perfectly how their days in the jungle were, how they were forced to eat insects and other disgusting things in order to survive.

And becayse that’s not enough, Emily is the only one to survive and she has to explain why is that.

This book is so well written that I felt I was the one left in the Amazon. By the end of the book I felt sorry for each character, I got to know all if them and their stories.

Another awesome thing about it is how life is described. How we are driven by ths desire of having everything, having the newest phone or computer, having the nicest clothes and hair and make-up and in the end, when life hits us in the face with an accident as the one that young people were involved in, all those things doesn’t matter anymore. What it matters in that moment is the intelligence, power, who’s the strongest of them, who’s willing to do everything in order to survive. That could be a lesson for all of us.

I will end this review by saying that there is a twist in this book that will make you read it twice. I will definitely re-read this book one day.

I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about thw important things in this life, because this book will make you think about it and gaze over yours.
